About Digital National Security Archives

The DNSA contains almost 60,000 declassified national security documents obtained through the Freedom of Information Act and collected by the National Security Archive at George Washington University. Comprised of twelve collections -- Afghanistan, Berlin Crisis 1958-1962, Cuban Missile Crisis, El Salvador, Iran-Contra Affair, Intelligence Community, Iran Revolution, Military Uses of Space, Nicaragua, Nuclear Non-Proliferation, Philippines, and South Africa -- the DNSA has been indexed to permit item and page-level searching across more than 20 combinable fields. This database purchased with student technology fees.
